The program aims to provide participants with a thorough grounding in the theory and practice of development planning and management practices in the mining sector within a range of international and national contexts. The course will be hosted by the School of Earth and Environment at The University of Western Australia.
The short course will provide you with an overview of the nature and management of occupational health and safety in the resources sector. You will have the opportunity to develop key leadership skills so that you can take a senior role in the oversight of occupational health and safety.
During this workshop you will be introduced to good practice in mineral tax collection procedures and processes. The topics include mineral royalties, corporate income tax, transfer pricing, tax administration, mining related tax issues, and institutional and administrative capacity issues.
